NASA SENSE contract worth $1.8 billion awarded to Peraton

HERNDON, Va. Peraton announced it has been awarded NASA's Space Exploration Network Services and Evolution (SENSE) contract. The contract has a five-year ordering period with a maximum value of $1.8 billion.

SENSE is a follow-on to the Space Communications Network Services contract, led by Peraton, in support of the Exploration and Space Communications Projects Division (ESC) at Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC). Peraton will also partner with NASA, ESC, GSFC and the NASA community in executing the requirements outlined in the contract as: systems architecture and engineering; development; integration and test; operations; maintenance; and sustaining services for space and ground systems and facilities.

These facilities include NASA’s Space Network, Near Earth Network, Satellite Laser Ranging Network, Very Long Baseline Interferometry Network and Electronic Systems Test Laboratory, according to information from the contract.

The Peraton team includes mission partners ensuring reliable delivery of technical subject matter competence across SENSE's expanded scope.
