JACKSONVILLE, Fla. Redwire has announced initial operational capability for its investment in a digital engineering environment, the Hyperion Operational Space Simulation Laboratory (HOSS).
According to the company, the facility leverages the full suite of Redwire digital engineering capabilities, including software- and hardware-in-the-loop configurations, intended to enable next generation space architectures and solutions, such as advanced artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and cyber technologies.
HOSS will aim to offer commercial space and national security space customers access to leverage Redwire's digital engineering ecosystem for experimentation, concept exploration, and rapid development of next-generation space solutions.
The company also claims that this digital environment is built upon a Modular Open System Architecture (MOSA), using common interfaces and standards intended to allow users to rapidly change out third-party components and systems.
