IARPA launches crowdsourcing research effort - News

WASHINGTON. The Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA), part of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, has announced that it is embarking on a multiyear research effort to develop and test large-scale, structured collaboration methods to improve reasoning. If the project is successful, the Crowdsourcing Evidence, Argumentation, Thinking and Evaluation (known as "CREATE") program will improve analysts? and decisionmakers? understanding of the evidence and assumptions that support or conflict with their conclusions.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. Engineers at Charles River Analytics Inc. will support the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA) in the advancement of the Continuous Insider Threat Detection (SCITE) Program. The contract spans over a year and is valued approximately $1.25 million. If all options are exercised in the contract, it could add to the total an additional $2.5 million.

Officials at the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA) announced that they are hosting a Proposers' Day Conference for the Odin program on Friday March 11, 2016, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm in the Washington metropolitan area. The conference is being held in anticipation of the release of a new Broad Agency Announcement solicitation on the program, which will develop biometric presentation attack detection technologies to ensure biometric security systems can detect when someone is attempting to disguise their biometric identity.
