Lockheed Martin and technology company Indra (Alcobendas, Madrid, Spain) recently signed an agreement that extends the companies' exclusive relationship to develop of a state-of-the-art S-band active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar for the Spanish Navy?s F-110 program; the pact also establishes a framework to move ahead with commercialization of this solid-state radar for other anti-air-warfare opportunities worldwide.
ORLANDO, Fla. Lockheed Martin has signed six contracts with the U.S. military, with awards totaling $198.4 million, to improve training for C-130 aircrews and operators around the world. The C-130J Super Hercules Maintenance and Aircrew Training System (JMATS) program has trained more than 10,000 personnel for missions including cargo transport, special missions, and aerial refueling.
MOORESTOWN, N.J. Lockheed Martin has completed the Critical Design Review (CDR) portion of testing with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) for the Long Range Discrimination Radar (LRDR). Passage of this goal means that the LRDR has demonstrated compliance to all technical performance measures and requirements. The radar system will be part of a layered ballistic-missile defense strategy to protect the U.S. from ballistic-missile attacks.
