Upgrades to NATO air surveillance radar to come - News

STOCKHOLM. Defense and security firm Saab has signed a contract with NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) in Luxembourg to upgrade three SINDRE I air surveillance radars in Norway. Saab?s upgrade, say company officials, will include replacing obsolete hardware and upgrading software.

U.S. Navy orders multimode radars for Coast Guard patrol cutters - News

SYRACUSE, N.Y. Saab Defense and Security has obtained a contract from the U.S. Navy to provide its Sea Giraffe Agile Multi Beam (AMB), Multi-Mode Radar (MMR) for deployment with the U.S. Coast Guard. The value of the initial order -- covering the procurement of two systems -- amounts to $16.8 million but with options for additional radars the contract may be worth as much as $118.5 million.

Moog Space and Defense Group has garnered contracts with both Northrop Grumman and Saab Defense to support the U.S. Marine Corps AN/TPS-80 Ground/Air Task Oriented Radar (G/ATOR) program. G/ATOR is the first ground-based active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar to be developed by the U.S. Department of Defense.
