LINKÖPING, Sweden. Saab won a contract with the U.S. Navy to provide a Double Eagle semi-autonomous remotely operated vehicle (SAROV) for the naval forces of Kuwait. 

EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. The first Boeing T-7A Red Hawk military trainer successfully arrived at Edwards Air Force Base on November 8, a move that kicks off the U.S. Air Force developmental flight-test campaign for the aircraft. When all tests are completed, the T-7A is intended to be the replacement pilot-training capability for the T-38 Talon, which was first fielded in the early 1960s.

LINKÖPING, Sweden. The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) has placed an additional order with Saab for the upgrade and capability enhancement of the Gripen C/D fighter aircraft, the company announced.

LINKÖPING, Sweden. Saab recently unveiled the Saab 340 Airborne Early Warning (AEW) aircraft for its Polish customers during a ceremony in Linköping, which came two months following Poland's acquisition of two such AEW aircraft, the company announced in a statement.

STOCKHOLM. Saab and Sweden's national Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) have signed an agreement -- worth approximately SEK 5.8 billion ($524 million) -- regarding new functionality and adjusted delivery schedules for Gripen E and Gripen C/D multirole fighter aircraft.

SAN DIEGO. Saab reports that it acquired artificial intelligence (AI) company CrowdAI (San Francisco, California) in a move intended to expand its holdings in AI and machine learning (ML). 

LONDON. Saab is set to introduce at DSEI -- held in London September 12-15 -- its Future Operator Workspace, what it calls an immersive, intuitive user platform concept for superior management of critical systems in all battle situations.
