WASHINGTON. Edgybees, provider of collaborative visual intelligence technology, announced that it won its largest contract yet by AFWERX, an innovation program within the U.S. Air Force. The contract will see Edgybees' computer vision technology, in the form of its augmented reality (AR) software solution Argus, integrated with the US Air Force's systems to enhance situational awareness in complex operational scenarios.

Edgybees is one of 21 small businesses slated to receive four-year, fixed contracts with the combined worth of over $550 million through AFVentures' Strategic Financing (STRATFI) program, including more than $100 million in Air Force funding, over $100 million in small business innovation research (SBIR) funds, and more than $350 million in private investment.

This contract follows a round of contracts awarded to Edgybees by AFWERX at the end of last year, including the Phase 2-SBIR contract.

According to the company, Edgybees' Argus solution is intended to provide commanders insight into operational environments by augmenting live video footage with layers of precise, real-time, geospatial information. Edgybees' solution is designed to facilitate situational awareness, efficient planning, and clear communication for teams on the ground and in the air.
