FAIRFAX, Va. Bundeswehr (German Federal Armed Forces) officials tasked QGroup, a General Dynamics Mission System partner, to provide capabilities that will improve the security of the Bundeswehr's infrastructure. Under contract, QGroup will deploy and maintain QTrust Server security appliances for the german armed forces' IT networks.
QTrust Server is based on General Dynamics Mission Systems' PitBull Trusted Operating System (PitBull), which adds a level of security to QGroup's QTrust product line, officials say.
PitBull protects information from internal and external threats and by compartmentalizing it helps to keep its integrity and control of the data is maintained, all the while data spillage is contained in the event of a breach, officials say.
