CRFS announces RFeye Nexus wideband receiver modules at DSEI 2013

LONDON. CRFS has announced the RFeye Nexus range of modular, wideband receiver modules at the Defence Security and Equipment International (DSEi) conference in London, UK. The RFeye incorporates timing and synchronization features that allow correlation of data between different modules for accurate geo-location of target signals, using Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) or Power on Arrival (POA) methods.

The RFeye Nexus feature flexible backplane and interface options, PCIe interfacing, signal interception capability, and 80 MHz real-time bandwidth from either 100 kHz to 18 GHz, or 100 kHz to 6 GHz. The modules can be supplied as VITA 3U rack-mounted cards with a VPX backplane for integration, or as integrator moduels with custom fitment and PCIe connecter capable of supporting IQ data streaming. Stand-alone options are also available for users requiring a deployment-ready system.

Alistair Massarella, CEO of CRFS, states: “The extremely low noise and spurious levels allow us to distinguish very low power signals from the noise floor, and thus to find transmissions that might be missed by other SIGINT systems. The high sweep speed also makes it possible to capture and analyze all activity across the spectrum up to 18 GHz.”

The RFeye Nexus range is supported by the existing RFeye family of software. For more information, visit www.crfs.com
