MELVILLE, N.Y. Micross Components, Inc., a global provider of mission-critical microelectronic components and services for high-reliability aerospace, defense, space, and industrial applications, announced an exclusive partnership with Avalanche Technology, provider of next-generation MRAM Technology.

Officials claim that with this collaboration, Micross will be the exclusive supplier of die and hermetically sealed devices utilizing Avalanche’s next-gen Spin Transfer Torque Magnetoresistive Random Access Memory (STT-MRAM), which are are ideal for high-speed non-volatile memory applications, such as data backup in aerospace systems.

Micross’ size, weight, and power (SWaP) optimized hermetic STT-MRAM devices are designed to offer inherent protection from harsh environments, magnetic flux, and radiation, while providing a compact power profile non-volatile memory.

Micross and Avalanche officials claim they are addressing the need for more compact and lower power solutions that are optimized for hi-reliability aerospace and space applications, and are introducing a series of memory devices based on this technology.
