MEMKOR MKD-O2F family of Cryptographic Module SSDs is engineered, built and tested by an independent and U.S. accredited lab to conform to the FIPS 140-2 Level 2 standard.
The FIPS 140-2 validation provides U.S. government accreditation and assurance about the strength of the encryption algorithms, secure Data Encryption Key management and unbreakable user Authentication methods enabling end-to-end protection of data at rest and eliminating the most sophisticated cybersecurity threats. The Level 2 validation ensures tamper-evidence through the use of special coatings, seals and labels.
MEMKOR MKD-O2F first release comprises rugged 2.5” and M.2 SATA III and U.2 PCIe/NVMe Cryptographic Module SSDs for up to 4TB of capacity and up to 1200 MB/s performance. The level of ruggedization spans between 16.3g RMS for the modules based on the Memkor ORANGE Series and 30g RMS for the modules based on the BLACK Series SSD architecture.
All 2.5” SATA modules support an option of HiVibe© SATA connector ensuring operations for up to 30g RMS and 20k insertions.
All modules support hardware and/or software triggered military Secure Erase, Crypto Erase and Write Protect functions. Each Secure Erase procedure is preceded by the Crypto Erase that renders user data unrecoverable in milliseconds.
