North Atlantic Industries releases 300 W 3U CompactPCI DC/DC power converter

BOHEMIA, N.Y. North Atlantic Industries (NAI) has announced the 55RQ2, a rugged 3U CompactPCI (cPCI) DC/DC power converter. The PICMG 2.11-compliant converter meets MIL-STD-704F requirements and supplies up to 300 W of power with four outputs, and accepts inputs from +16 VDC to +36 VDC.

The 55RQ2 includes a built-in, MIL-STD-461-compatible EMI filter, as well as advanced programmability with BIT features, current share, and reverse polarity protection. The 3U cPCI converter fits in a 0.8" pitch slot and is user-configurable for power sequencing and ramp rates. In addition, the conduction cooled 55RQ2 is IPMB compatible.

“Many of today’s military systems rely heavily on power supplies that can withstand rugged, conduction-cooled environments and MIL-STD-704F low/high voltage transients,” says Lino Massafra, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, North Atlantic Industries. “The 55RQ2 is the latest in a complete line of cPCI power converters that supports some of today’s most demanding system power requirements.”
