ASHBURN, Va. Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions released the MPMC-9355-0002 Multi-Platform Mission Computer, which has as many as four Core i7 single board computers (SBCs) connected by Layer 2 Ethernet switch and PCIe with an optional graphics engine.

The 5-Slot 3U device may be custom-made to support high performance graphics and applications such as image, signal, and radar processing. The subsystem can cut down on up-front costs while meeting necessary I/O, performance, and environmental requirements.

The system reduces “design risk while speeding the application development,” says Lynn Bamford, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Defense Solutions division.

The MPMC-9355-0002 has cooling characteristics that enable it to operate in temperatures as hot as 55 °C. It also meets DO-160 requirements and supports the MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-704 specifications for power.
