HoodTech Vision introduces stabilized HD EO imaging system

WASHINGTON. An HD Electro Optical (EO) imager designed for unstable platforms was introduced at the 2013 Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) conference by HoodTech Vision. The 4-axis stabilized EO imager provides 720p image resolution at 30 Hz frame rate, and can be housed in an optical dome on systems up to 800 grams.

The stabilized HoodTech Vision EO imager has a 0.6 degree High Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFOV) and delivers a standard 640 x 480 image definition. The system is capable of 30x optical zoom, and is paired with a dual AVS processing system that provides H.264 IP-video encoding, image enhancement and rotation, motion de-jitter, and on-gimbal target tracking. These features make the small, stabilized system suitable for high-resolution, high-magnification, daylight imaging applications.

The stabilized HoodTech Vision EO imager is mechanically configurable for multiple platform requirements.
