SparkCognition unveils new full-spectrum defense AI business

AUSTIN, Texas. SparkCognition, company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI), announced the creation of SparkCognition Government Systems (SGS), full-spectrum AI company devoted to government and national defense, a first according to the company. SGS, a wholly owned subsidiary of SparkCognition, intends to offer next-generation, AI-powered systems to address national security needs.

SparkCognition has worked with customers and partners in the public sector and national defense, and has advocated for the pursuit of AI technologies to improve government operations. Recognizing that defense needs require undiluted focus, SparkCognition developed SGS as a full-spectrum AI company.

SGS’s Board of Directors includes Gen. John R. Allen who is a retired U.S. Marine Corps four-star general and former Commander of the NATO International Security Assistance Force and U.S. Forces – Afghanistan, and Lisa Disbrow who is the former Under Secretary of the U.S. Air Force and an Air Force veteran.

The board is also occupied by Amir Husain who is the Founder and CEO of SparkCognition, Admiral John M. Richardson who is a retired U.S. Navy four-star Admiral who served as the 31st Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) from 2015 until 2019, Robert O. Work who served as the 32nd United States Deputy Secretary of Defense from 2014 to 2017, and Michèle Flournoy who is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of WestExec Advisors.
