RICHARDSON, Texas. Collins Aerospace won a contract to contribute to a new aircraft design under the U.S. Air Force's Survivable Airborne Operations Center (SAOC) program, the company announced in a statement.

This initiative is part of a collaboration led by Sierra Nevada Corporation aiming to enhance the National Military Command System's performance through the development of a new generation of the E-4B National Airborne Operations Center, an aircraft that is engineered to provide top military leaders with a survivable platform during critical operations, the statement reads.

Collins Aerospace will deliver an array of products across its business lines to support the project, which involves integrating advanced systems designed to ensure the survivability and efficiency of airborne operations centers, the company says.
