F-15 Strike Eagle replaces legacy displays in the cockpit

VAN NUYS, Calif. The F-15E Strike Eagle program will be receiving IEE's 6x6 Multi-Purpose Display (MPD) replacing legacy avionics displays in the cockpit, but keeping the form, fit, and function of the existing unit.

Under contract, IEE will deliver to the program's prime contractor, HEBCO, LCD technology to replace cathode ray tube (CRT) components in existing F-15 cockpit displays. The contract came from the U.S. Air Force’s Small Business Offices and support programs.

IEE is expected to deliver the display assemblies in early 2016.
