CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa. Rockwell Collins won a three-year, $8.8 million contract to provide the U.S. Air Force and Lockheed Martin and sustainment services for avionics displays on 187 F-22 fighter aircraft.
Under the sustainment program, Rockwell Collins engineers will train U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) personnel to perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) on the F-22 displays at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah, and at the Rockwell Collins repair facility in Atlanta.
Each F-22 aircraft cockpit has six Rockwell Collins combination projection and light-emitting diode (LED) displays.
