EDGEWOOD, N.Y. CPI Aerostructures (CPI Aero) announced that it has signed a long-term supply agreement with Lockheed Martin unit Sikorsky to manufacture fuel-panel assemblies for the UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter.

The five-year agreement is valued at up to $21 million for a period of five years, beginning in 2018 and ending in 2022, according to the terms of the Multi-Year IX contract signed by Sikorsky and the U.S. Army.

According to the new deal, CPI Aero will perform all manufacturing tasks for the Black Hawk fuel-panel assemblies, including purchasing and managing the supply chain for all detail parts and system components.

The UH-60M helicopter has become a favored multimission-type aircraft, because it can handle such disparate tasks as troop transport, medical evacuation, electronic warfare, attack, assault support, and special operations.
