MOORESTOWN, N.J. Lockheed Martin officials opened the doors on the company's new Surface Navy Innovation Center (SNIC), which is set to support the development of new technologies for the U.S. Navy. It is a research, development, and demonstration facility that Lockheed Martin will use to bring together industry, government, and academia expertise to design next generation surface fleet capabilities to deal with the evolving threats worldwide.

The center is expected to foster collaboration among organizations from these areas to rapidly develop emerging technologies and then quickly put them into service.
