CHARLOTTE, N.C. Lockheed Martin has selected Curtiss-Wright Corp. for a production contract valued at an estimated $49 million, where Curtiss-Wright will provide its Turret Drive Servo System (TDSS) for use in the British army's SCOUT Specialist Vehicle (SV).

The products covered by the agreement will be delivered to a Lockheed Martin facility in Ampthill, U.K. where they will be integrated onto the turrets. The TDSS will provide electromechanical aiming and weapon stabilization system for the SCOUT vehicle.

The production phase of the program follows Curtiss-Wright's completion of the demonstration phase that started in 2010. Deliveries of the products are expected to begin in 2015 and continue through 2021.
