CubeSat Rideshare Initiative adds Auxiliary Payload Customer under signed MOU

IRVINE, Calif. United Launch Alliance (ULA) and Tyvak Nanosatellite Systems, Inc. to signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) under the CubeSat Rideshare Initiative for Tyvak to serve as the primary Auxiliary Payload Customer through December 31, 2019.

Tyvak will provide low-cost access to space for both commericial and U.S. Government CubeSat customers. They will also provide no-cost access to space for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) CubeSat customers for rideshares on ULA’s Atlas V launch vehicles.

As part of the MOU agreement, Tyvak - a subsidiary of Terran Orbital Corp. - is responsible for identifying, obtaining, and integrating CubeSat customers on the ULA Atlas V launch vehicle system.

ULA’s CubeSat Rideshare Initiative gives rideshare opportunities on its Atlas V launch vehicle as well as aims to tap into a small satellites market with applications in education, scientific research, U.S. Government, and commercial business.
