DHS adds Northrop Grumman to critical infrastructure cybersecurity program

FALLS CHURCH, VA. Northrop Grumman has signed a memorandum of agreement to join the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Enhanced Cybersecurity Services (ECS) program. The agreement will enable expansion of cybersecurity protection for U.S. critical infrastructure. Northrop Grumman has begun the security accreditation approval process required in order to operate as a Commercial Service Provider (CSP) in the ECS program.
The ECS program promotes information sharing to enhance cyber protection of critical infrastructure information systems and guard against data exfiltration, exploitation, and unauthorized access. As part of the ECS program, the DHS shares both classified and unclassified cyber threat indicators with designated CSPs, who then utilize those indicators to provide cybersecurity services to authorized critical infrastructure systems.
