DIA chooses nine companies to support R and D and engineering under $500 million HELIOS contract

WASHINGTON. The U.S. Defense and Intelligence Agency (DIA) has awarded positions to nine companies on a contract that will provide technical research and development (R&D), intelligence, strategic warning, and other operational tasks.

Through the HELIOS award, the DIA will procure research, development, technical, and engineering services to support the DIA Directorate for Science & Technology missions.

Companies named in the multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract are AT&T (Columbia, Maryland), Booz Allen Hamilton (McLean, Virginia), Harris Corp. (Palm Bay, Florida), KeyW Corp. (Hanover, Maryland), Leidos Inc. (Chantilly, Virginia), Lockheed Martin (Littleton, Colorado), MacAulay-Brown (Dayton, Ohio), Northrop Grumman Systems (Cincinnati, Ohio), and Southwest Research Institute (San Antonio, Texas).

Work will be performed at both contractor facilities and government facilities in the National Capital Region with a start date of September 2018 and an estimated completion date of September 2028.
