NCI to provide IT support services to Fort Stewart, Southeast region

RESTON, Va. NCI, Inc. will provide information technology (IT) services in support of the Southeast Regional Network Enterprise Center (R-NEC) at Fort Stewart, Georgia under an ITES-2S contract valued an estimated $11 million.
The firm-fixed-price task order consists of a one-year base and one 12-month option period. NCI engineers will provide IT services for classified and unclassified networks at all locations supported by the R-NEC. Officials state the services include network administration, systems administration, systems integration and testing, configuration management, infrastructure management, end-user support and training, hardware/software fielding, quality control, information and network security services, and database support.
This work is part of the U.S. Army Network Campaign Plan, designed to ensure a globally responsive and regionally aligned Army network and Signal force. “This award continues NCI’s network and communications support to Fort Stewart and expands it to other regional locations that will comprise the Southeast R-NEC,” says Brian J. Clark, NCI’s president and CEO.
U.S. Army officials designated Fort Stewart the Southeast R-NEC with the responsibility to support Army IT networks across Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and North Carolina. The effort covers three Army local network enterprise centers and five surface deployment and distribution commands. The R-NEC operates as a subordinate element of the 7th Signal Command, part of the Army’s Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM).
