Marine to run 100 miles around Ground Zero on Memorial Day weekend for wounded vets

NEW YORK CITY. This Memorial Day Weekend retired Marine Cpl. Brian Gallagher will be running 100 miles in less than 30 hours over May 26-27 around Ground Zero to raise $100,000 for wounded warriors and their families through three charities.

I struggle to finish 5ks, running 100 miles in about 30 hours seems impossible, but Brian is undaunted. He says is motivated by the sacrifices his fellow warriors have made and raise awareness for the charity organizations that support wounded warriors. For full disclosure Brian is also the Director of Public Affairs for DRS Technologies and a friend of mine.
