MIAMI. Aeroflex Colorado Springs is showcasing their new Voltage Supervisor at the Nuclear Space and Radiation Effects Conference (NSREC) in Miami this week. The line, which has four products, enables users to reduce circuit quantity and complexity for monitoring and sequencing power supplies in systems that use microprocessors, ASICS, DSPs, and FPGAs used in high reliability (HiRel) environments.

During the demonstration a LaserMotive laser powered Stalker Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) to an extended flight time of more than 48 hours ? a 2,400 percent increase in flight duration.

Officials of the Organization for Joint Armaments Cooperation (OCCAR) selected the TopOwl Helmet-Mounted Sight and Display (HMSD) for flight testing on the A400M military transport aircraft prototype. The tests are being done to confirm the HMSD compatibility with the A400M for night missions. TopOwl has an integrated night vision capability for pilots. Thales officials made the announcement this week during the Farnborough Air Show.

Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) officials selected Verocel in Westford, Mass., under a $6.2 million single- source contract to develop the next-generation safety computer for use in the Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS).
