Engineers at L-3 Maritime Systems are using the rugged Sensor Interface Unit (SIU35) from North Atlantic Industries (NAI) for the the U.S. Navy’s Ship to Shore Connector (SSC) program's data acquisition unit system. The SSC is the follow on to the Navy’sLanding Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) vehicle, which is nearing the end of its run.

ARLINGTON, Va. DRS Technologies Inc. won access to an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to produce and deliver as many as 180 Joint Tactical Terminal-Receivers (JTT-R) electronic warfare missions for U.S. Navy and Australian EA-18G, aircraft. The JTT-R is an ultra-high-frequency receiver that delivers near real-time, over the horizon threat data for situational awareness and assessment, targeting, mission planning, threat avoidance, and communications.

Officials at Wind River released updates to the company's VxWorks 653, which has support for multi-core silicon and partitioning for applications that enable certification to multilevel RTCA DO-178. ORLANDO, Fla. Lockheed Martin engineers dropped off the U.S. Navy's first electronic Consolidated Automated Support System (eCASS), which will help maximize aircraft readiness. Sailors and marines will be using the system to troubleshoot and repair naval aircraft electronic components while at sea and ashore, enabling them to return aircraft to operational status more quickly and efficiently.
