Dr. Patrice Parris appointed as chief technology officer of VORAGO Technologies

AUSTIN, Texas. Dr. Patrice Parris is the new chief technology officer at VORAGO Technologies. Dr. Parris will responsible for VORAGO?s technological vision and the development of its patented HARDSIL technology, including future application across foundries, partners, and customers. He will also represent the company on its Technical Advisory Board.

VORAGO Technologies is a provider of radiation and heat-hardened embedded systems technology. Dr. Parris' knowledge in semiconductor technology and experience in delivering products to market will be an asset as the company moves to evolve HARDSIL and deliver new solutions, says Bernd Lienhard, chief executive officer of VORAGO Technologies.

Throughout his career, Dr. Parris has had 38 U.S. patents issued in SMARTPower, NVM and More-than-Moore CMOS, and BJTbased devices. He has over 24 years in the semiconductor field and has lead technical organizations, as well as been part of teams that focused on developing next generation technologies. Prior to VORAGO Technologies, he worked at NXP and Freescale, and also held numerous roles at Motorola. Dr. Parris holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT.
