CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa. Collins Aerospace has won an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) sustainment contract for the U.S. Air Force (USAF) U-2 reconnaissance aircraft program with a ceiling value of $493 million to support the USAF’s installed U-2 electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) sensors.
In separate agreements, Collins was also awarded a $66.2 million task order for the first year of support, plus fully negotiated options for the second and third years of services and support, valued at $114.6 million.
Dave McClure, vice president and general manager of ISR & Space Solutions for Collins Aerospace, noted that the awards are a continuation of that company's 60-plus years of support and sustainment for the U-2 program.
