LINTHICUM, Md. The Office of Naval Research (ONR) Integrated Topside (InTop) program completed simultaneous demonstrations of electronic warfare, information operations, and communications missions.
Northrop Grumman engineers conducted the multi-function military missions in October and November at the Naval Research Labs Chesapeake Bay Detachment facility as part of its on going involvement with ONR.
The InTop Advance Development Model (ADM) is a scalable suite of open architecture electronic warfare, information operations, and line-of-sight communications hardware and software for use on multiple naval surface platforms.
Officials say that the suite will reduce the large number of topside antennas currently used on modern ships through the use of advanced electronically scanned array (AESA) technologies.
