Best in Show awards selected at AOC 2019

WASHINGTON. Military Embedded Systems is excited to announce today the winner of our Best in Show Award contest, which we're holding this week at the 56th Annual AOC International Symposium Convention, Oct 28-30 in Washington, D.C. Contest winners – drawn from military embedded systems exhibitors at the event – are recognized for the improved performance and innovation they bring to military electronic systems applications such as radar and electronic warfare as well as for rugged computing, interconnect technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and embedded computing.
Four-star, three-star, and two-star recognition will be given in multiple categories when applicable, with four stars as the top recognition. Winning entries are based on the counsel of an independent committee of industry judges.
4 STARS: EMBEDDED COMPUTING
Interface Concept's IC-GRA-XMCd combines the functions of a GPGPU XMC board and a high-performance HDMI to ARINC818/3G-SDI converter to meet the needs of tomorrow’s avionics and defense applications. With the AMD Radeon E9171 GPGPU’s 1.2 TFLOPS computing capacities and the onboard Xilinx Kintex UltraScale FPGA implementing the ARINC 818/3G-SDI conversion, the IC-GRA-XMCd offers ultra-high-definition video by doubling the performance and integration level of previous graphics cards while maintaining a thermal design power under 40 watts. The board is available in air-cooled and conduction-cooled grades and is offered in XMC1.0 VITA 42, or XMC2.0 VITA 61-compliant versions. The IC-GRA-XMCd XMC is the first in the embedded market to combine two functions typically performed by two distinct devices: video processing/display typically performed by a GPGPU XMC board plus the ARINC818 to DVI conversion typically performed by a separate FPGA board (or external device). This board can be combined with Interface Concept’s 3U/6U VME/VPX single-board computer solutions.
