WASHINGTON. Missile Defense Agency (MDA) officials selected Gryphon Technologies, LC for a single award contract to provide Mission Integration services in support of the Sea-Based X-Band Radar as it conducts its mission.
If all options are exercised, the contract is expected to be completed in June 2024. IT is worth an estimated $58 million.
P.J. Braden, founder of Gryphon Technologies, acknowledges the award and the company is happy to continue to provide Mission Integration Test and Operational Support for SBX to the Missile Defense Agency Sensors Directorate.
MDA develops, tests, and fields an integrated, layered, Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) to defend the United States, its deployed forces, allies, and friends against all ranges of ballistic missiles in all phases of flights.
SBX was developed by the Missile Defense Agency and is a component of the BMDS. The SBX tracks, discriminates, and assesses long-range ballistic missiles as part of the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) system.
