Digital communications terminals from BAE Systems nets $86.9 million contract for naval and allied jets

WAYNE, N.J. BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration Inc. -- Electronic Solutions has won an award from the U.S. Naval Information Warfare Systems Command worth $86.9 million to perform systems engineering and integration of Multifunctional Information Distribution System Low Volume Terminals (MIDS-LVTs). 

According to the award announcement, the MIDS-LVTs Link 16 terminals are designed to help U.S. and international defense customers transmit voice and data communications over secure, high-capacity, jam-resistant, digital data and voice communications networks. 

Work under the contract will be performed mostly in New Jersey, with a small percentage done in Paris (2%). The contract is expected to be completed by December 2025.
