HERNDON, Va. Technology integration firm ManTech International has won a five-year, $21 million task order from the Systems Engineering, Interoperability, Architecture and Technology (SIAT), U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) Systems Command, to handle systems engineering, interoperability, architecture, and technology support on the Department of Defense (DoD) Information Analysis Center's (DoD IAC) Defense Systems Technical Area Task (DSTAT) Multi-Award Contract (MAC).

Under the terms of the new award, ManTech will work with SIAT to enhance integration and interoperability across USMC, naval, joint, and DoD systems programs. ManTech is also slated to provide detailed systems-engineering analysis, establish technical policies and guidance across the command, and manage technical investigation and planning for the Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF).

SIAT -- based in Quantico, Virginia -- is the lead technical authority for all Marine Corps ground weapons and information technology systems programs; its mission is to ensure USMC systems interoperability with coalition and joint forces. MAGTF is the term the Corps uses to describe the organization that provides systems for tactical communications, networking and satellite communications, command and control, integration and interoperability, and situational awareness.
