Market outlook: Global tactical communications market valued at around $15.4 billion by 2028

LONDON. The global tactical communications market, with an expected value of around $13 billion in 2018, will grow at a combined annual growth rate of approximately 1.7 percent per year to a total value of about $15.4 billion by 2028, according to a new market study from Strategic Defence Intelligence titled "The Global Tactical Communications Market 2018-2028."

Over the forecast period, according to the analysts, the cumulative amount spent on the global tactical communications market is projected at $151.1 billion.

The study's authors found that during the forecast period, the Asia-Pacific region is expected to garner the highest revenue share, at about 35 percent, followed by the North American market, which is projected to account for just over 28 percent of the global market. Europe is expected be the third largest market over the period 2018-2028, with a total share of around 25 percent; while the Middle East, Latin America, and Africa are projected to capture around 5.7 percent, 2.5 percent, and 2.1 percent of the global tactical communications market, respectively, over the forecast period.

According to the projection, the market is expected to be dominated by the man-portable communications segment, which will account for 38.5 percent of the market's overall revenue.
