MOBILE, Ala. The U.S. Navy launched its newest Overlord Unmanned Surface Vessel Vanguard (OUSV3) from Austal USA’s shipyard in Mobile, Alabama, on its way to join sister ships, dubbed OUSV2 Ranger and OUSV4 Mariner, as part of the Navy’s USV Division 1 (USVDIV 1).

MOBILE, Alabama. Austal USA has won a fixed-price incentive contract to design and potentially construct up to seven T-AGOS 25 class Auxiliary General Ocean Surveillance Ships for the U.S. Navy, the company announced in a statement. The initial contract value is $113.9 million, but if all options are exercised, the overall contract could be worth up to $3.2 billion.

MOBILE, Alabama. Austal USA has delivered Expeditionary Fast Transport USNS Apalachicola (EPF-13) to the U.S. Navy, the "largest surface ship in the fleet with autonomous capability," the company announced in a statement.

CANBERRA, Australia. Austal Australia will use a decommissioned Armidale-class patrol boat for the test and evaluation of autonomous and remotely operated systems, the company announced in a statement.

AUSTRALIA. Austal Limited has announced that Austal USA has won a $44 million fixed-price, undefinitized contract modification for the design, procurement, production implementation, and demonstration of autonomous capability on Expeditionary Fast Transport (EPF) 13, USNS Apalachicola.
