NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND, PATUXENT RIVER, Md. During a series of underwater missions at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Keyport in Puget Sound, Washington, the Navy completed testing of the Common Control System (CCS) with a submersible unmanned vehicle. The test results demonstrated the CCS capability to provide command and control to a surrogate Large Displacement Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (LDUUV).

Navy personnel are continuing the integration and testing of the Naval Air Systems Command's (NAVAIR's) first Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS), dubbed the APS-154, aboard the P-8A Poseidon aircraft. Testing will confirm that the P-8A and AAS can operate safely and efficiently together.

NAVAIR avionics program seeks proposals for FY 2017 projects - News

NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND, PATUXENT RIVER, Md. U.S. Navy officials at the Avionics Component Improvement Program (AvCIP) will award more than $10 million in funds for 2017 projects. NAVAIR’s Air Combat Electronics Program Office (PMA-209) officials will manage the proposal process for the Office of Naval Operations (OPNAV). Nominations forms are due January 29 and projects will be selected by the end of May and can start executing as soon as October.
