FALLS CHURCH, Va. Northrop Grumman won a $3.6 billion Navy contract to produce and deliver 25 new E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft, which would bring the total number of contracted aircraft to 50. The E-2D Advanced Hawkeye is a carrier-based airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) system with upgraded intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities and flight systems.
