TEWKSBURY, Mass. The U.S. Army Contracting Command announced that the Department of Defense (DoD) has awarded a contract to Raytheon for $202 million to perform enhancements to the Patriot Air and Missile Defense System. According to the company, the work on the Patriot will sustain more than 500 highly skilled jobs across four U.S. states, while adding to the functionality of the Patriot system.

Leonardo DRS -- the U.S. arm of the Italian aerospace company Leonardo -- has announced that it will participate in the U.S. Air Force T-X competition with its T-100 integrated training system. The competition is soliciting contractors to design and build a successor to replace the aging T-38 Talon, first produced by Northrop in 1959.

The U.S. Navy has awarded Raytheon Company $235 million for Standard Missile-6 (SM-6) all-up round production missiles and spares, thereby funding the fourth year of full-rate production for the multimission missile.
