Experiment reveals advantage of quantum processing over classical processor - News

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. A prototype quantum processor repeatedly beat a traditional processor in a race to solve a puzzle, figuring out a secret combination up to 100 times faster by using exotic physics to sort through data that was deliberately packed with errors, according to the results of an experiment detailed in a recent academic paper by scientists from Raytheon and IBM.

Raytheon selected to deliver 3-D long-range radar system to Air Force - News

HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. U.S. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center officials selected Raytheon for a $52.6 million contract to deliver three-dimensional expeditionary long-range radar (3DELRR) system. The 3DELRR system will replace the AN/TPS-75 (Tipsy 75), as the principal Air Force ground-based sensor for long range surveillance, detection, and tracking of aerial targets in support of theater commanders.

The fixed price incentive modification to a previously award contract (N00024-14-C-5315) to exercise options for Air and Missile Defense Radar Program (AMDR) Low Rate Initial Production is worth $327 million for the first three ship sets.

Air Force awards Raytheon $375 million initial contract to modernize command and control centers - News

HAMPTON, Va. The U.S. Air Force Materiel Command has awarded Raytheon Co. a contract with an initial value of up to $375 million to sustain and modernize the Air and Space Operations Center Weapon System (AOC WS). Under the contract, Raytheon will update the existing AOC WS baseline software and develop and deploy new software upgrades to improve air and space command and control operations.
