Airborne Low Frequency Sonar systems to be produced by Raytheon for NAVAIR

PATUXENT RIVER, MD. Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) officials awarded Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems in Portsmouth, R.I., a $158,571,809 contract for the 48 MH-60R Full Rate Production Airborne Low Frequency Sonar (ALFS) systems as well as associated program management support.
About 59 percent of the work on the contract will be take place in Brest, France; 37 percent in Portsmouth, R.I., and 4 percent in Johnstown, Pa. Completion of the order is expected by April 2017. According to the Department of Defense (DoD) contract funds in the amount of $158,571,809 are being obligated at time of award with $39,642,952 of it expiring at the end of the current fiscal year.
