SOSA Technical Standard Snapshot 3 now available

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio. Officials at the Open Group announced the Technical Standard for SOSA Reference Architecture, Snapshot 3 is now available for download. According to the Open Group, the document is a Snapshot of what will, after maturation, become the Technical Standard for SOSA (Sensor Open Systems Architecture) Reference Architecture, Edition 1.0.

Snapshot Version 3 continues to define the SOSA functions and behaviors of the modules and associated interfaces, according to the Open Group. It enables the capability development of interchangeable components for communications, electro-optical/infrared, electronic warfare, radar, and signals intelligence (SIGINT) sensing. The coverage's scope includes software and hardware, as well as electrical-mechanical interfaces. The approach integrates relevant business use-cases and supporting guidance documents.
This Snapshot is valid through February 28, 2021 or at the next major release of the SOSA Technical Standard, whichever is sooner.
