UNITED KINGDOM. In collaboration with UAVTEK, BAE Systems announced it has developed a nano “Bug” unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and delivered the first 30 units to the British Army, which has already subjected the platform to various tests and trials.

FARNBOROUGH, U.K. The BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration facility (Greenlawn, New York) has won an $18 milion indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract from the U.S. Navy Naval Air Systems Command for the production, test, and delivery of identification-friend-or-foe (IFF) transponders for military aircraft.

NASHUA, N.H. BAE Systems announced that it received a $60 million contract from Lockheed Martin to make and deliver additional advanced missile seekers for the Long Range Anti-Ship Missile (LRASM) used by the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy.

The Eagle Passive/Active Warning Survivability System (EPAWSS), the updated new radar warning and electronic warfare (EW) suite for the U.S. Air Force’s F-15E Strike Eagle, is one step closer to becoming operational in the F-15E fleet after a recent large force test event, dubbed the Large Force Test Event (LFTE) 20.03.

GREENLAWN, N.Y. BAE Systems has received certification for its Identification Friend-or-Foe (IFF) transponder for the F-22 Raptor from the Department of Defense AIMS program office. 

FARNBOROUGH, U.K. BAE Systems has won a contract with the U.S. Navy worth as much as $94 million to develop and supply engineering, test, and evaluation support for sensors that will reside on unmanned aerial systems (UASs) plus communication, control, and weapons systems for a number of manned and unmanned airborne platforms.

UNITED KINGDOM. BAE Systems and the University of Birmingham have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to form an Advanced Sensing Technologies Consortium, drawing on leading experts from industry, academia, and government. This forms part of the Government-funded National Quantum Technologies program to drive four U.K.-based hubs which includes a Sensors and Timing hub led by the University of Birmingham.
