WILSONVILLE, Ore. Teledyne FLIR, part of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, announced it has won a contract to develop a mass-wearable chemical detector for U.S. troops under the Pentagon’s Compact Vapor Chemical Agent Detector (CVCAD) program. The company received $4.0 million in initial funding.

WILSONVILLE, Ore. FLIR Systems, Inc. announced that it has received more than $70 million in new orders for its advanced ground robots from the U.S. Armed Services. The U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps placed orders for nearly 600 FLIR Centaur robots, including additional spares, antennas, and payload mounting kits.

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. Teledyne Technologies Incorporated and FLIR Systems, Inc. jointly announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement under which Teledyne will acquire FLIR in a cash and stock transaction valued at approximately $8.0 billion.
