ARLINGTON, Va. Defense contractors BAE Systems and Leonardo DRS have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to offer enhanced threat-detection capabilities for use on U.S. Army fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft; the companies will collaborate to develop an advanced infrared (IR)-based threat warning system to meet the evolving operational requirements for Army aircraft survivability.
