WASHINGTON. The U.S. Navy announced that it has chosen Lockheed Martin and enterprise applications company IFS to deliver an intelligent maintenance solution that will aim to help power its digital transformation of multiple legacy systems into a single modernized logistics information system. 

FRANCE. Thales has signed a contract with Lockheed Martin as a tier-one supplier for the delivery of up to 55 airborne anti-submarine warfare sonars. The Airborne Low Frequency Sonar (ALFS) dipping sonars will be installed on the MH-60R platform for the U.S. Navy and three additional navies. Delivery of the first 42 systems will occur over the next five years with a delivery of 13 optional systems to occur in year six.

BETHESDA, Md. Lockheed Martin has announced a new line of tactical Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) satellites. These satellites, based on Lockheed Martin’s LM 400 mid-size bus, are intended to enable tactical warfighters to track moving targets at long ranges and operate in contested and denied environments.

HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. The U.S. Air Force's Theater Battle Control Division, headquartered at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, Massachusetts, awarded an $8.4 million integration contract to Lockheed Martin March 26 as part of the Air Force's Three Dimensional Expeditionary Long-Range Radar Rapid Prototyping program.

Program officials said the main intent of the integration effort is to develop, test and field interfaces allowing the radar system to transmit data to other command and control nodes.

DAVIDSON, N.C. Curtiss-Wright Corp. announced that it has won a contract with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics (a Lockheed Martin company headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas) to supply its rugged commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) processor module technology to upgrade the U.S. Air Force's F-22 Raptor tactical fighter aircraft. 

MELBOURNE, Fla. L3Harris Technologies has won a contract from Lockheed Martin for development of a new advanced electronic warfare (EW) system to protect the international F-16 multirole fighter aircraft against emerging radar and electronic threats.

LITTLETON, Colo. and TYSONS, Va. Omnispace, LLC and Lockheed Martin, have entered into a strategic interest agreement to explore jointly developing 5G capability from space. The proposed global 5G standards-based non-terrestrial network (NTN) would aim to offer commercial, enterprise, and government devices ubiquitous communications worldwide.
