Patriot router development by Raytheon and Teldat for Poland moves to next phase - News

TEWKSBURY, Mass. Raytheon and TELDAT engineers completed the Critical Design Review (CDR) phase of their effort to co-develop and co-produce advanced militarized routers for the Patriot Air and Missile Defense system for Poland, which validates the TELDAT design's capability to meet all Patriot system requirements and also enables the company to move into the manufacturing and design qualification phase of the program.

TEWKSBURY, Mass. Raytheon engineers upgraded the computer processor of the AN/TPY-2 ballistic missile defense radar, which will allow the system to work better during raids and more quickly and accurately discriminate between a missile's warhead, and non-threats such as countermeasures.

ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md. U.S. Army personnel sent up a blimp armed with a new cruise-missile and drone-fighting radar system from Raytheon for operation above rural Maryland. The system, known as JLENS (Joint Land Attack Cruise Missile Defense Elevated Netted Sensor) , has two helium-filled aerostats, or tethered blimps, that float about 10,000 feet above the ground and are equipped with radars.
