FRANCE. Tawazun and MBDA announced that the companies have signed a head of terms agreement with the intent to cooperate in the field of smart guided weapon systems. The aim is to create a long-term partnership between Tawazun and MBDA, enabling the development of the SmartGlider weapon systems from design to production phase.

UNITED KINGDOM. Following its testing and entry into service with the UK’s Royal Air Force, Leonardo announced that its BriteCloud capability is now being evaluated for use by U.S. Armed Forces.

HERNDON, Va. DTC, a wireless communications company, announced that it has launched a Robust High Power (RH) variant of the NETNode Phase 5 IP Mesh Radio. Phase 5 is the latest generation of DTC's NETNode Mesh family, offering built-in dual HD video encoders and Multi-In Multi-Out (MIMO) capability to deliver high data throughput and power output. According to the company, the NETNode is available in 4W, 10W, and now 30W total power output variants.

CRANE, Ind. The Naval Surface Warfare Center has awarded Collins Aerospace Systems, a unit of Raytheon Technologies (RTX), a seven-year, $64 million Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to provide sonar domes for surface combat ships for the U.S Navy and Allied forces.

HORSHAM, Pa. GDP Space Systems announced it will provide ground equipment to NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in support of the upcoming Psyche mission. Originally purchased to support previous successful Mars programs, GDP’s telemetry receivers have now been repurposed to test the RF transmitter for the Psyche mission.
