OnTime Networks, company specializing in rugged, time-synchronized Ethernet solutions for the Aerospace and Defense Industry, announced the selection of its military rated CM-4012F0-MIL 12 Port Gigabit Ethernet switch by General Dynamics Land Systems-Canada for use in the Canadian Army's Armoured Combat Support Vehicle (ACSV).

WASHINGTON. The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) approved and released a new strategy to lead and direct counter-small unmanned aircraft systems (C-sUAS) activities across the military services, which is intended to provide the framework for addressing sUAS hazards and threats in operating environments including the United States, host nations, and contingency locations.

ESTONIA. The medium class Type-X Robotic Combat Vehicle developed by robotics and autonomous systems developer Milrem Robotics passed its initial mobility tests. The Type-X RCV designed to support mechanized units was first announced in the summer of last year.

POWAY, Calif. General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) completed the first Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) High Frequency (HF) Command and Control (C2) demonstration for an Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS). According to officials, the HF C2 capability does not require a Satellite Communications (SATCOM) link and is capable of providing BLOS connectivity up to 8,000 miles, depending on transmit power and link geometry.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. Trenton Systems, Inc., designer and manufacturer of ruggedized, cybersecure computer systems for defense and aerospace industries, has partnered with NGD Systems for ruggedized, high-capacity computational storage drives (CSDs) intended to offer a performance boost to real-time artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) systems at the edge.

LINKÖPING, Sweden. Saab AB will act as system integrator for the Multi-Shot Mine Neutralisation System (MuMNS), part of the Franco-British Maritime Mine Counter Measures (MMCM) program, under an initial order worth 300 million kronor ($36.4 million) signed with prime contractor Thales. 

ISRAEL. Elbit Systems Ltd. announced that it has won an approximately $24 million contract from the Dutch Ministry of Defence (Dutch MOD) to supply the Royal Netherlands Army (RNLA) with new vehicular tactical computers. The contract will be performed over a 30-month period.

ARLINGTON, Va. The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA)-Aviation at Warner Robins has awarded a $306 million 10-year indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract to Terma North America in support of the U.S. Air Force (USAF) to provide self-protection hardware, sustainment, and engineering services under the Enterprise Contract for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC).

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems has won a $34.2 million contract from the U.S. Navy for engineering and test support services for the AN/ALQ-249 Next Generation Jammer (NGJ), currently in development for the Navy EA-18G Growler aircraft. 

CARLSBAD, Calif. Metawave Corporation has won a prime, Phase One contract by the U.S. Air Force (USAF) to provide a high-precision, all-weather sensing solution for electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft.

ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND/U.S. ARMY FACILITY, Md. The U.S. Army is now delivering its flexible expeditionary networking capability, the Integrated Tactical Network (ITN), to its Stryker armored vehicle brigade combat teams; the Army recently finished integrating ITN capabilities into dismounted units.
